Gastonia, NC(August 26, 2010) - Andy Mercer was able to make great gains on his pursuit for a second straight track championship at Hickory Motor Speedway with a win in the track's most recent 100-lap Late Model Stock race.
     Mercer brought another fast piece to the track and felt confident in qualifying but was perplexed when he saw his number 10 third on the board at the end of the time trial session. "The car felt real good, don't know where we could of lost the speed except for bottoming out but that wasn't a real significant bump," said a perplexed Mercer.
     Mercer made a quick move on the start to take over second place but quickly gave the spot up when he realized that Jesse LeFevers was running at a much harder pace ................. CLICK HERE for the Full Story
